Following a comprehensive national search, Oregon State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences has named Timothy Rager as its new Director of Information and Technology.
Rager brings diverse senior leadership experience managing information technology for complex, decentralized organizations. Most recently, Rager was the Chief Information Officer for Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) where he spearheaded a multi-state collaboration between Washington and Oregon community colleges and launched critical cybersecurity initiatives that increased the safety and security of LBCC’s data. Prior to working with LBCC, he led IT initiatives for other top higher education institutions and non-profits, including Seattle Central College and the Seattle Art Museum. With an MBA from Penn State, Rager brings more than 15 years of experience advancing technology initiatives to meet the fast-paced changing demands on increasingly critical IT infrastructure.

Rager will be responsible for designing and managing the information and technological services for the College and will report to the Chief Operating Officer. An active member of the College leadership team, Rager will participate in both internal forums and represent the College’s needs in campus-wide IT governance and community forums.

Rager will begin his new role as the IT Director on October 23, 2023.
